I’m so excited to tell you about my tropical getaway with the amazing Fiji Collection from OPI! Fiji is OPI’s Spring 2017 Collection. First of all, how gorgeous are all these colors?! I’m addicted! I had such a fun time in Miami on my mini vacation. It started off by landing to a beautiful sunny day. From the airport, I headed to The Shore Club, which is the coolest hotel! It’s very lush with tons of flowers and plants. It also has an area with decorative couches and seats where you can just hang out.

I had the coolest opportunity to head up to New York with the OPI team for Fashion Week! Ever since becoming a nail tech, I always dreamed of what it would be like to work as a backstage manicurist, and what do you know, it happened!

I worked three of the top shows which were: Jeremy Scott, rag & bone, and Rodarte. Each show was fast paced, hectic, exciting, and really fun all at the same time. Jeremy Scott was definitely the most crazy, just because (I’m pretty sure) they had the most models that needed to be prepped. I saw some of the top models in the game, including GiGi and Bella Hadid (who are just as pretty in person!).

At the beginning of March, I got an e-mail from a producer from The Dr. Oz Show about possibly being in a beauty segment. At first, I thought ‘this isn’t real, right?’, but as I looked further into it, I realized this was from a REAL LIFE producer that was actually wanting me to come to NYC to ACTUALLY be ON A TV SHOW..?!! A week later, I hopped on a plane and headed to the Big Apple.

So, this last weekend was quite exciting! I had the very cool opportunity to do a video shoot for OPI using their new Color Paints collection (info & swatches on these soon!). I started my trip to LA on Friday (April 24th) morning, and arrived about 3pm. Jet lag was kicking in so I was really wanting to get to the hotel. Unfortunately, our driver was a tad bit late, but hey, as long as you get me to where I gotta go! Even though I’m fully aware of how horrible LA traffic can be, I was totally not ready for it to take about an hour and 20 minutes to go 12 miles to our hotel, phew!
